My photo
Hi, my name is Allison. I’m a photographer based in Boise, ID. I specialize in interiors with an editorial flair. I received my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Boise State University. I believe my education is what sets me apart from your average person with a fancy camera. If anything, it shows you how damn dedicated I am to my craft. When I’m not shooting for clients, I work on my personal projects. Work from my ongoing photographic series, “Spaces of Cultural Comfort,” has been exhibited locally at the Boise Art Museum and three pieces have been acquired by the City of Boise to be included in the Boise Visual Chronicle, a permanent collection of artworks. When I’m not photographing, I like to go out thrifting. Please check out my Etsy store for badass vintage housewares and accessories. I’m a quiet person by nature but contrary to popular opinion, I’m not shy. I curse like a sailor around my friends + family and sometimes on this blog.

Marc + Angie: CW Moore Park/Penthouse Wedding

Marc and Angie met in Lewiston, ID where they went to high school together. According to one of the bridesmaids, Angie always knew she would marry Marc.

Melissa and I both met the cute couple while working at Boise State University. Angie sat in the office just outside of Photographic Services. Marc worked in one of the back offices in the same building. When Angie first asked me if we would shoot their wedding, I was more than excited. It's always better when you aleady know the couple. Things got even more exciting when we went out to lunch with them a couple of months before the wedding and they gave us all the details of the wedding. Including the fact that they were up for doing a first look! I'm so glad they saw the value in seeing each other before the ceremony. Marc and Angie, congratulations! Thank you so much for inviting us to your wedding and for being such an easy going couple.

Angie and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done at Panache Hair Studio and Day Spa

Angie's dress was stunning!

Angie's violin teacher at Boise State was in attendance. She played this beautiful instrument during the ceremony. Both Angie and Marc are musicians.

Apparently temporary tattoos are tradition in Angie's home. Her dad did all the tattooing.

The view from The Grove Hotel where Angie and her girls got ready.

Thanks to Melissa for finding this awesome spot in downtown Boise. Be sure to head over to her blog to see the wedding from her perspective.

...and this spot.

Marc and Angie were both very excited about getting married at C.W. Moore Park because of all the architectural monuments of old Boise buildings that are preserved there. This is the W.E. Pierce Building Turret. It acts as the information center for the park. It was built in 1903 for the Pierce Building on Main Street, across form the Idanha Hotel.

This name stone came from Frank Coffin's Pioneer Building which was built in 1894 on 8th and Main.

Huxley was the ring dog. He was so handsome!

Marc and Angie believe in riding bikes. Both for pleasure and transportation and I think that's awesome. Marc also works for the Boise Bicycle Project as the Shop Coordinator, hence the Bicycle Builder's Bible. Their officiant was Jimmy, who is the Executive Director at Boise Bicycle Project.

Gotta love those unmistakable Chaco tan lines!

Marc and Angie had snow cones instead of cake. Such a cool idea!

Can you spot Melissa?

I love the view from the C.W. Moore Penthouse!
